Phendimetrazine

Bontril, Adipost, Anorex-SR, Appecon, Melfiat, Obezine, Phendiet, Plegine, Prelu-2, Statobex

FDA approved appetite suppressant.

It is a stimulant drug of the morpholine chemical class used as an appetite suppressant.

It produces less nervousness, hyperexcitability, euphoria and insomnia than drugs of the amphetamine family.

It should be used, along with a healthy diet, exercise and behavioral modification.

The drug is for use only by obese individuals who need medical intervention for severe obesity.

Phendimetrazine is available in “instant-release” or “slow-release” versions.

Most commonly tablets contain 35mg of the active ingredient Phendimetrazine. Slow release versions (Bontril) contain 105 mg of Phendimetrazine which is the equivalent of 3x 35mg and has been shown to take effect as quickly as a standard “non slow release” Phendimetrazine but has a prolonged therapeutic effect.

NEVER chew, crush, or split Bontril Slow Release tabs.
